Pectin bioplastic
Extracts pectin from peel and pulp, then gels into a firm, glass-like sheet. Naturally slightly coloured by the fruit.

Pectin source
Pectin-rich peel or pulp200gFruit peel and pulp rich in pectin. Gels with sugar and acid.
Examples Apple peel, citrus peel, quince, pomace
Note — Simmer 45 min, strain.
Fixed ingredients
- Sugar · 100g
- Lemon juice · 1 tbsp — Releases pectin.
- Glycerine · 10g — Softens the final sheet.

Refinements and variations
- Swap the peel for apple pomace, orange peel, quince, or plum skins.
