Peel clay
Fruit peel blitzed with a binder into a sculptable putty. Each fruit gives a different tone and scent.

Softly coloured by the fruit (pale brown for banana, rust for apple, gold for orange). Slightly sticky.

Pectin-rich peel or pulp300g peelFruit peel and pulp rich in pectin. Gels with sugar and acid.
Examples Banana peel, apple, orange, quince
Acid (optional)
Acid1 tspMild household acids. Adjusts pH, curdles milk, releases pectin.
Examples Lemon juice, vinegar
Note — Helps set.

- Flour or cornstarch · 100g — Adjust to feel.

Refinements and variations
- Apple, banana, orange and quince peel all work
- Dry the peel first for a firmer clay.
