Sticky rice glue

An Asian traditional glue made by cooking glutinous rice until it yields a translucent starchy paste.

    Starch (whole plant)1 cup

    Starchy tubers, seeds or nuts. Needs grating, cooking or leaching.

Refinements and variations

  • Add powdered lime for a traditional mortar-grade strength (use outdoors).
