Eggshell composite tile

Finely ground eggshell cast into a binder to make a smooth, marble-like tile.

Creamy white with speckle; polishable.

  • Calcium carbonate

    Calcium carbonate (shell, chalk)100g fine powder

    Ground shells, bones or chalk. Acts as filler, whitener, mild abrasive.

  • Gelatine or agar base · 100ml

  • Blender
  • sieve
  • silicone mould or frame
  • flat surface.

Refinements and variations

  • Blend in ground coffee for a warmer marbled effect.
