Ground nutshell (walnut or hazel) pressed with a starch binder. Tough, dense, subtly marbled.

Deep brown with lighter flecks; hard, sandable.

    Cellulose-rich powder300g

    Fine, dry, ground-up plant matter. Acts as filler and body in composites and doughs.

    Examples Walnut shell, hazel shell, fruit stone

Fixed ingredients

  • Starch or gelatine glue · 100ml

Refinements and variations

  • Blend with coffee or bark for speckle.
