Linseed oil finish

A drying oil finish that polymerises on exposure to air, producing a tough, water-resistant film on wood and some bioplastics.

  • Lint-free cloth
  • a tin.

Refinements and variations

  • Thin first coats with a drop of citrus oil; build up ten thin coats over days.
